Letter from George to England Orillia Dec 12th 1892 My dear Aunt You will think I have forgotten you but I have not. I think about you every day. I hope you are all ……as it leaves me and my family at the present. Thank God for it. I was barbering ever since I left England until last spring, and I have got a farm 2 1/2 miles from Orillia. It is a first class farm, a fine brick house and good buildings and orchard. I had about 300 bushels of apples this fall. I have two horses and four cows, two heiffers. I had twenty pigs until last week I killed eight. Bass Lake is right at the lower part of our farm. I have a boat and I cot (sic) some very fine fish last summer. I exchanged property for it in town. It was 700 pounds.…it is only forty acres and I have two stores in Orillia yet They rent for 3£ a month. If I .….…...get all straightened up I shall come to see you if all's well. I wish you to write and let me know how you all are and how Robert and Anne and Annie Elizabeth is getting along and send me my sister Lizzie….addresss so I can write to them. Tell uncle Thomas and Willie to send me word how they are getting along. I should like to …… and see them and all of you which I think I shall some time. When I get some spare money. The time is not very good here at present. When you write tell me all you can about all, I should very much like to hear from you and uncle Woodall. I was very sorry Robert died. George and …….. Is married. I think I have no more to say at this time so I conclude and remain your nephew, George Wainman, Coldwater Road, Orillia, Canada Love from all to all, Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, PS A man with a little money could get a good cheap farm. Although there is not much money in it.
