Born at Littleport — John and Mary's third child

Hannah Padget was John and Mary's third child and their second daughter, born at Littleport about 1823 — about, because her baptism is the one record of the family's Littleport years that no index yet holds, and her age drifts across the records: 1822 on Mum's list of the children, 1823 on her own page, 1821 as the death index reckons it. She was eleven or so when her eldest sister Susanna married Thomas Crabb; Mum set that wedding on Hannah's page too, one sister's page remembering the other's day.
In the last quarter of 1842 she married Jacob Barber, of the Wesleyan Barbers lately come off the fen island at Witcham, and her life ran with theirs from then on: the Whelp Moor and Littleport years, the children — Rachel among them — and, with the fen's long decline, the family's move to Hull. In 1869 the two sisters' households became one story: Hannah's daughter Rachel married Susanna's son Isaac Crabb, and the Padget name went twice into this tree's spine.
She died in Hull — Sculcoates district — in the last quarter of 1893, in her early seventies; Jacob outlived her by six years. Of the nine children of John and Mary Padget, it is Hannah and Susanna the record we hold follows furthest: the two who, between them, made the Crabb and Barber lines kin.

Her marriage and death are pinned in the civil indexes, and her married life is evidenced through Jacob's households in the Barber pass. Her beginning is the gap: the CFHS baptism transcripts cover her sister Susanna in 1815 and the family's other children either side, but skip Littleport's early 1820s entirely. To do:
